The new Decreto flussi was published in January 2022, whose deadline for some applications is extended to 30 September 2022.

The Decree sets a maximum number of entries equal to 69,700 units, 42,000 of which are reserved for entries for seasonal work reasons.

Decreto flussi is designed for those coming from abroad, and to convert permits already activated on the territory. It is not a regularization.

The quotas established for entrances for non-seasonal and self-employed work reasons are 27,000, of which 20,000 are reserved for entries for non-seasonal subordinate work in the transport, construction and tourism-hotel sectors.

The quotas for the conversion of seasonal residence permits, study, internship and long-term permits from other European countries are 7,000.

Applications are presented by the employer or by the citizen who intends to convert the original residence permit into a residence permit for work reasons by accessing the portal of the ministry via SPID.
