The Residence Permit can be renewed 60 days before the
expiry date and within 60 days after the expiry date specified on the permit.
The application must be submitted using the specific Kit at
post office counters. Only in some cases it is possible to submit an
application directly to the Immigration Office of the Police Headquarters of
domicile or residence, often by booking an appointment.
The application must be submitted by filling in the appropriate
forms and adding copies of the required documents depending on the type of
permit requested. The submission of the application can only be presented by
citizens over the age of fourteen and presenting a valid passport.
With the postal procedure, the total costs of the
application vary according to the type of permit requested:
€ 70.46 + € 30 + € 16 for a permit with validity of one year
80.46 euros + 30 euros + 16 euros for a permit with validity
of two years
€ 100.46 + € 30 + € 16 for a long-term permit.
When sent to the post, you will receive a receipt and an
appointment for photo identification and the collection of fingerprints and
documents.
Subsequently an
appointment will then be given to withdraw the permit or to integrate the
practice.
The times are very variable depending on the territory and
the contingent period, in fact they can vary from a month to a few months.
In the meantime, possession of the expired permit plus the
receipt allows the citizen to assert all rights as if he had a valid permit.
